Freight Sales Executive

Freight Sales Executive – 2 Years Experience Required Within The Freight Industry – Manchester - Permanent Role.

Salary: £50,000 + OTE



Shift: Monday to Friday,

8:30am to 5:30pm - no weekends required.



Silver Arrow require an experienced Freight Sales Executive to work for an international logistics and freight forwarding company based in the Manchester area.

Your Role:

* Proactively scope new business opportunities
* Liaise with customers, suppliers and overseas agents.
* Ensure ongoing liaison with existing clients
* Follow up of prospective customers
* Identify sales opportunities whilst profiling all new businesses
* Track and manage the CRM system
* Represent the company in the best possible light with internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrate a track record of developing and enhancing current client portfolios
* You will join the UK Sales team where you will be covering the North West region
* Some office attendance is required but working from home will also be considered



What we need from you:

* At least 2 years’ experience in Sales, within the Freight industry
* Strong new business development
* Knowledge of Import and Export multimodal business
* High quality communication skills
* Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures
* Proficient with Microsoft packages especially MS Excel and general PC knowledge
* Must be flexible with your working hours, with the ability to work from home if required
* Have technical selling skills and product knowledge
* Have the ability to influence and negotiate
* Full UK Driving licence is essential
