Your role:
As the HR Business Partner – Manager you will act as the strategic partner to Executive Committee members and their direct reports on their people plans, projects and people related issues to support the delivery of a high-performance business and the bank’s strategic goals. You will also provide proactive HR advisory services and play a critical role in transforming our People Function, contributing to strategic business partnering, performance enablement, and effective portfolio management across all HR disciplines.

Your Responsibilities:
HR Strategic partnering:
* Collaborate with Senior Leaders to align our People strategy with overall business goals, becoming a valued contributor to both commercial and people agendas
* Be a dynamic agent for change and be willing to advocate and drive change in HR
* Play a key part in developing and implementing a strategic HR agenda which meets business needs
* Establish, monitor and refresh the frequency and style of interaction with relevant ExCo members and their Direct Reports
* Help business leaders to identify, prioritise, and build organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes
* Maintain a focus on looking for opportunities where HR can add value to the business
* Compile or contribute to Board and ExCo papers as required
Strategy and Monitoring:
* Contribute to the alignment of the HRBP approach with the Group’s strategy and objectives
* Contribute to the on-going development, communication, and delivery of the HR Business Partner model
* Oversee the Service Level Agreements and KPIs of HRBP team and identify opportunities to bring efficiencies to the delivery
* Ensure that current and future business needs are reflected in the development and implementation of HR strategies or plans and that all projects and deliverables are aligned with strategic enterprise objectives
HR Advice:
* Embed HR in the designated part(s) of the bank by being fully involved in business decisions and by providing a full proactive HR service
* Work with the designated part(s) of the bank to think through and deliver against the people requirements of any business as usual or change activity
* Provide expert advice to Senior Leaders across the designated part(s) of the bank in structure organisational design, workforce planning and Talent and Succession pipeline requirements in line with the Group Strategy
* Guide and influence people priorities as a trusted advisor, supporting the delivery of strategic HR initiatives and large-scale organisational change.
* Partner with the ER team to advice on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and performance management
* Build up the relationship with the ExCo and direct reports of the designated part(s) in the bank, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and coach as required
Leadership:
* Champion the Bank’s culture and values, acting as an ambassador and role model across all levels
* Provide strong and proactive management to the wider HR business unit and contribute to the building of a strong team and collaborative spirit across all People function
* Effectively line manage direct report, overseeing their performance and development, aligning individual goals and development needs with the strategy and objectives of the Group
* Recruit, train, coach, team build, and succession plan for your direct report
* Act as a catalyst for the members of the team to operate with a solution-driven mind-set, embedding a can-do approach to tackling problems, and empowering individuals to take accountability for the decisions they make
* Manage delivery against approved business plans and budgets
Operational Risk Management:
* Drive a risk aware culture that is aligned to the risk appetite of the bank
* Identify risks and have mitigating and control factors in place
* Advocate calculated risk taking in a highly regulated risk environment
* Support the delivery of the Group’s Internal Control Framework
* Comply with Group Risk and Control Matrices (Risk and Control Self-Assessment and Event Management)
* Apply actions required to deliver the services in a timely manner while remaining compliant with Company, Industry and Legislative prerequisites
* Work with HR colleagues to ensure business areas are HR compliant
Requirements:
Essential
* 8+ years of experience in a HR Business Partner environment
* Third level educational qualification essential
* Experienced in partnering across diverse groups and levels of seniority
* Solid knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices
* Experience in organisational development, change management, and talent initiatives
* Strong analytical and project management skills, with a detail-oriented and flexible approach to problem solving
* The candidate would need to bring a can-do attitude, entrepreneurial attitude and focus on impact
* Must have strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills and be able to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
* Keen to continue learning and developing their skillset, having a growth mindset
* Possess high professional standards for customer service and work quality
* Demonstrate cross-functional teamwork and collaboration skills
Desired
* CIPD qualification (or equivalent)
* Good understanding of a Financial Services or Bank operating environment
* Strong commercial and market awareness
* Experience working as part of a transformation team that repositioned the HR offering
* Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and
* maintaining good working relationships
* Proven experience in coaching for high performance and advising at a senior level
* Ability to inspire and motivate individuals to perform at a high level
* Ability to use strong judgment skills to identify and resolve problems
* Excellent organisational skills being highly structured in approach
* Demonstrated ability to present ideas persuasively and to convince and influence others
* An excellent communicator (written and oral skills), with a sound grasp of strategic thinking
